Description

TRIAL LESSON — ONE SESSION. ONE DIAGNOSTIC. ONE PLAN.

The Trial Lesson is your first one-to-one session using Roger’s French to English method. In 25–40 minutes, we diagnose your level, work on a real topic, and build a realistic roadmap — so you stop guessing and start executing.

No “getting to know you” chats. No vague promises. You walk in with confusion, you walk out with a plan.

WHAT HAPPENS IN YOUR TRIAL

  • Level & goals diagnostic — where you stand right now (A0–B1) and what you actually need: travel, life in France, work, exams, or just the confidence to open your mouth.
  • Pronunciation & basics scan — we listen to how you speak and identify 2–3 concrete problems to fix first. Not “everything.” The right things.
  • Real mini-lesson — not a sales pitch disguised as a class. You learn a structure, a set of phrases, or a pronunciation pattern you can use immediately.
  • Q&A in plain English — ask the grammar and pronunciation questions you’ve been too embarrassed to ask anywhere else.
  • Your personalised roadmap — guides + lesson frequency + focus areas, tailored to your life, your schedule, and your actual level. Not a template.

THE METHOD BEHIND THE LESSON

Your lesson follows the method created by Roger, a British-born, Germany-raised, trilingual coach 🇬🇧🇫🇷🇩🇪 and author of the French to English guides. Thousands of hours teaching English-speaking adults from absolute zero to DELF level.

The core principle: French explained through English logic when it accelerates understanding, then practised in realistic French so you can actually perform — not just fill in grammar gaps on a screen.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

  • You’re an absolute beginner (A0) or false beginner who wants a structured first step — not another app.
  • You already know some French but feel blocked, confused, or stuck in a loop and need a fresh diagnostic.
  • You want to test the method once before committing to Weekly 1:1, the 4-Week Booster, or DELF Prep.
  • You prefer one clear strategy from an expert instead of piecing together YouTube videos and hoping for the best.

FAQ — TRIAL LESSON

How long is the trial lesson?

Around 25–40 minutes. Enough to diagnose your level, run a real mini-lesson, and build your roadmap. No fluff, no padding.

What do I need?

A stable internet connection, a computer or tablet, and ideally headphones. A quiet space helps you focus and speak without self-consciousness.

Is it really okay if I’m a complete beginner?

Yes. The trial lesson is built for absolute beginners (A0) as well as people with some French who feel lost. We use clear English explanations and go at your pace.

Can I reschedule?

Yes — respect the reschedule / cancellation rules shown during booking. You can change your time directly from the confirmation email.

What happens after?

You get a clear roadmap with concrete next steps. That might be a mix of guides, Weekly 1:1 lessons, a 4-Week Booster, or DELF Prep — or a self-study plan you can follow alone. No pressure. Just clarity.

Result: you leave with a clear picture of your level, a taste of Roger’s method, and a realistic plan to reach your next milestone. No more guessing.
