Description
Weekly 1:1 — One Lesson a Week, Steady Progress All Year
Weekly 1:1 (45 min) gives you a private French lesson every week with a native, accredited tutor trained in Roger’s French to English method. You get clear English explanations, a personalised syllabus, and weekly feedback so you always know what to do next.
Instead of jumping between apps and random videos, you follow one simple path: the same teaching logic as the French to English guides, but live, adapted to your level and your goals.
How your weekly lessons work
- 45-minute private session once a week (online via Zoom or Google Meet).
- Level & goals check in the first lesson so we can design a realistic plan (A0–A2/B1).
- Clear structure every week – review, new input, practice, and a tiny bit of homework.
- English explanations when needed, more French as your confidence grows.
- End-of-lesson recap so you know exactly what to review before the next session.
What you get each week
- Personalised syllabus based on your real life: travel, moving to France, work, relationships, exams, or everyday small talk.
- Crystal-clear explanations in English for grammar, pronunciation, and sentence structure, tailored to an English-speaker’s “mental wiring”.
- Real dialogues and role-plays so you don’t just recognise phrases – you can actually say them.
- Gentle homework (10–20 minutes) to lock in vocabulary, patterns, and pronunciation between lessons.
- Actionable feedback after each lesson: what you did well, what to fix, and how to fix it.
Who is behind the method?
The lessons follow the method created by Roger, a British-born, Germany-raised, trilingual French coach (🇬🇧🇫🇷🇩🇪) and author of the French to English guides. He has spent thousands of hours teaching English-speaking adults from A0 to A2/B1 and DELF level.
Your tutor is a native, university-accredited teacher who uses Roger’s approach: friendly, structured, and practical, with explanations that make sense when you think in English.
